Appearance:

(bottled 05.06.12, bbd 05.10.12) Cloudy, very dark tawny – virtually black with thin white head but significant lacing.

Aroma:

Grapefruit citrus zest with a faint note of dungy farmyard and gammon ham.

Taste:

Heavily roasted – toasty/charcoal bitter malt with black pepper spice and a pinch of salt.

Aftertaste:

Lingering bitter chocolate, mock coffee and nutty espresso with lingering grapefruit tart zestyness.
