Pronounced 'Jet', this French green coloured mint liqueur (crème de menthe) was originally 27% alcohol by volume, hence the 27 in the name, but in the 1990s was reduced to 21%. (A Get 31 is also produced).
First launched in 1796 by Jean and Pierre Get under the name of Pippermint before being renamed Pippermint Get in 1898 and then simply Get 27 in 1969 when Martini & Rossi acquired the brand and moved production to their Bénédictine Distillery in Fécamp. They in turn were subsequently purchased by Bacardi.
