Aged: 16 years
Product of: United Kingdom
This 1995 vintage is one of the last to be distilled at Glen Garioch before the distillery was mothballed. When it reopened in 1997 it started using unpeated malt, hence making this a rare and interesting dram. (The maltings were closed and stills converted from direct gas to steam in 1993.)
Aged in first-fill ex-bourbon casks for over 16 years, this limited edition is only the sixth such release from Glen Garioch and only 1,000 cases where released globally in 2012 (100 cases allocated to the UK).
