Released March 2013, Loki follows Thor in Highland Park’s Valhalla Collection, named after characters in Norse mythology. This 15 year old limited edition single malt was matured in both Spanish oak sherry seasoned casks and some heavily peated American oak casks.

Loki is packaged in the same wooden frame as Thor, fashioned to resemble a traditional Viking long ship.

Appearance:

Clear, light-mid golden.

Aroma:

Serene smoke, buttery oak, dried apple and linseed oil. Water releases vanilla, liquorice and cardamom spice served over buttery oak cakes.

Taste:

Assertive smoke, oak, salt and spice palate with vegetal, green aniseed, cinnamon, candied lemon peel.

Aftertaste:

Lingering smoke and lemon zest with lingering cinnamon, clove and black pepper spice.
