Released 1st June 2013, this limited edition single malt celebrates the vital part the peat bogs of Islay play in the production of Ardbeg. Matured for ten years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish oak manzanilla sherry seasoned butts, Ardbog is bottled without chill filtration.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber with bronze tinge.

Aroma:

Tree bark, smoky peat, coal tar and sea spray with orange vanilla fudge and nubuck leather. Water releases more fudge and herbal notes.

Taste:

Coal tar, smoky peat and sea salt with hints of sweet vanilla, liquorice and clove. Water amplifies honeyed and liquorice sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Lingering smoky peat, cloves and sea salt with a touch of sweet balsamic and maple syrup.
