Launched in April 2013, this is based on Pimm’s No. 6 Vodka Cup with added blackberry and elderflower flavours. Brand owner, Diageo commissioned British designer Oliver McAinsh to produce the English garden-style illustration for the label. Diageo recommends serving with two parts lemonade over ice.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 23/06/2017

Appearance:

Clear, deep purple.

Aroma:

Tooty Fruity, fruit chew sweets/candy, blackberries and vanilla.

Taste:

Blackberries, cherry and vanilla. Fruit tartness and black pepper spice balances light muscovado sugar sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Slightly tart with lingering blackcurrant Ribena-like fruitiness and light spice.

Overall:

Mixed with two parts lemonade as the label suggests produces a sweet berry drink which resembles fizzy Ribena with faint lemon notes. Elderflower notes are overwhelmed by blackberry .
