Fentimans Curiosity Cola is a fermented botanical carbonated cola soft drink with ginger and herbal extracts. “Ingredients: carbonated water, fermented ginger root extract (water, glucose syrup, ginger root, yeast), sugar, flavourings, colour: caramel (E150d), phosphoric acid (E338), caffeine.”

The brewing process used to make this drink gives it an alcohol content of up to 0.5%, so low that it is still considered a soft drink. Like other colas, Curiousity Cola is flavoured with catuaba extract so herefore contains catuabine alkaloids.

Appearance:

(sample best before 28-Jul-15) Clear, deep brown (virtually black and opaque in the glass) with plentiful large bubbles.

Aroma:

Cola with faint ginger and notes of liquorice, lemon zest and bark.

Taste:

Drier and less syrupy than lesser colas with subtle herbal notes.

Aftertaste:

Lasting cola flavour with lingering barky dryness.
