Release in June 2014, Glenfiddich Excellence has been matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks for a minimum of 26 years.

The bottle is finished with an oak stopper, designed to be reminiscent of the bourbon casks in which the whisky was matured. Glenfiddich Excellence 26 Year Old is packaged in purple presentation box with an intricate embossed design inspired by the patterns made on wood cuts from the American Deep South.

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden.

Aroma:

Tinned peaches, green apple and violet blossom with delicate spice.

Taste:

Dry woody tannins balanced by faint brown sugar and creamy vanilla with liquorice, delicate nutmeg and cinnamon spice. Water reveals toasted coconut.

Aftertaste:

Long with elegant lingering spice. Overall: Wonderfully balanced and complex.
