Richard Delisle Cognacs are lovingly made by the Cabanne family and this Grande Champagne XO Club Cigare is the being a personal favourite of Alexis Cabanne, sixth generation Cellar Master.

In 2015 it was awarded the Cognac Trophy at the IWSC Awards.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, mid-golden amber.

Aroma:

Dried fruit, prunes, tobacco leaf, lime zest, praline chocolate and garam masala.

Taste:

Faint sweetness, dried fruit – particularly apricot, chocolate and tobacco leaf with elegant spice.

Aftertaste:

Tobacco and dark chocolate with lingering zesty orange and cinnamon spice.

Overall:

A rich fruity palate with chocolate, tobacco and elegant spice leads to a dry tobacco and chocolate finish with orange and cinnamon.
