Bartender and tea sommelier Robert Schinkel selected the finest hand-picked tea from Dilmah's tea gardens in Sri Lanka and worked with Dutch distillers Herman Jansen to create this tea liqueur.

Pekoe, pronounced 'pek-ko' is a term used in the grading of high quality black teas and refers to young tea leaves picked close to the bud. The finest teas are made only from the top two leaves and the bud. Both sides of Pekoe's elegant bottle are shaped after the two leaves while the side of the bottle represents the tea plant's bud.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Fragrant green tea with delicate floral jasmine.

Taste:

Bitter tea tannins balance light honeyed sweetness with pronounced green tea flavour and faint jasmine.

Aftertaste:

Dry finish with lingering green tea tannins.

Overall:

This relatively dry liqueur strikes a good balance between bitter tea tannins and sugar with a pronounced green tea flavour and subtle jasmine blossom notes.
