This strong dark Scottish ale is bewed with Maris Otter Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts, and hopped with Challenger, Fuggle & Goldings. OG 1.064

Appearance:

(sample BB 28/Jan/17) Clear, deep brown with thick retentive beige head and spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Toasty malt, freshly baked brown bread, roasted nuts and coffee with caramel and liquorice.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, yeasty brown bread, liquorice, caramel and barbeque charcoal.

Aftertaste:

Toasty, malty finish with liquorice and charcoal. Faint earthy peat.

Overall:

Dark and toasty with chocolate, coffee, brown bread and liquorice.
