Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Earthy coal dust, smoky bacon, oak and liquorice with light pepper spice and faint vanilla fudge. Water reveals powerful creosote.

Taste:

Charcoal, coal dust, smoked ham and creosote with ginger, black pepper and vanilla. Sweeter with water, amplifying chocolatey creosote and vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Creosote, chocolaty vanilla fudge, coal dust and black pepper spice.

Overall:

Charcoal, coal dust, creosote characterise and smoked ham. This is a love or hate Marmite of a malt.
