A seasonal beer by Brooklyn (Nov to March), Insulated Dark Lager is so named due to its offering “protection against biting wind and soggy weather.” Brewed with German Munich, roasted Carafa, Pilsner malts and American black barley. Hopped with Perle, Hallertauer Mittelfrueh, Amarillo and Centennial

Appearance:

Opaque, deep brown/black with retentive thick beige head and heavy lacing.

Aroma:

Nutty freshly baked brown bread, chocolate biscuit and mocha coffee with grassy hops and faint zesty orange.

Taste:

Full-bodied. Chocolaty and toasty malt with bitter earthy and grassy hops. Well-balanced.

Aftertaste:

Lingering chocolaty, biscuit and bitter herbal and grassy hops.

Overall:

Dry, bready and roasty with flavours of chocolate, coffee, toasty malt, bitter earthy and grassy hops.
