Distilled in Hammersmith London using ten tradition London dry gin botanicals: Macedonian juniper, Bulgarian coriander seeds, French angelica root, Spanish liquorice root, Italian orris root, Spanish ground almond, Chinese cassia bark, Madagascan cinnamon, Seville orange and Spanish lemon peel.
When making Sipsmith Gin the fractional distillation column on Sipsmith's Prudence's still is bypassed so the swan neck goes straight to the condenser. Prudence is charged with the second half of the heart left over from distilling Sipsmith vodka (around 50% of the run from the first vodka distillation) which is hydrated with Lydwell Spring water to 60-65% abv.
The spirit is then heated to 60-65°C for 15 minutes before being left to stand for 12 hours to allow the botanicals to steep prior to distillation. The gin comes over at around 84% alc./vol. and is reduced to bottling strength using Lydwell Spring water. This is a genuine London distilled, one shot gin – something of a rarity. ('two shot gins are distilled with twice the botanical recipe and then stretched after distillation by the addition of neutral spirit. The doubling up saves still time.)

Clean, assertive fresh pine forest juniper with perfumed floral lilac, pine sap and lemon meringue.
Clean and led by piney juniper and coriander with zesty citrus and mild spice. Well-balanced and traditional London dry in style.
Rich old-fashioned liquorice becomes evident and coats the tongue to the end of the finish.
A classically London dry-style gin that's still made in London. What's not to like?
