Categorised by its makers as “a Mediterranean pilsner, blond, double fermented” and non-pasteurized beer which is fermented in the bottle.
Sampled on 22/04/2017
(sample bottle best before 30/Jun/17) Hazy, sandy yellow amber with a retentive thick fluffy off-white head and thick lacing.
Belgium yeastiness with citrus, floral chamomile, hay bales and grassy scents.
Surprisingly full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Citrusy and grassy hop bitterness – pronounced hop character without being overly bitter.
Lightly spiced citrusy and grassy finish with lingering hop bitterness.
More akin to a Belgium blond ale than a “a Mediterranean pilsner”, Delphi is much more flavoursome and yeasty than your average pilsner.
