Review and Tasting

Sampled on 28/04/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle best before Oct/17) Clear, bright golden with thin off-white head.

Aroma:

Slight white crusty bread and tinned sweetcorn with faint grassy hops.

Taste:

Light-bodied with lively carbonation. Crisp, clean and dry with mild sweet malty flavour and light grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Dry, lightly grassy finish.

Overall:

A pale lightly flavoured pilsner with no metallic or other off-flavours. Connoisseurs who may regard Bintang “bland” would be thankful of a cold glass served in the Indonesian heat. But yes, this beer has a light style.
