This 30 year old, cask strength, limited edition bottling (of fewer than 3,000 individually numbered bottles) is the fourteenth and equal oldest limited release to be offered by the distillery (one of Diageo's 2009 Special Releases). The casks used were American oak and European oak refill.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

(cut to approx 45% abv) A mild nose with aromas of fruit (citrus), hints of fudge and charcoal.

Taste:

Pleasantly smoky dry peaty palate features creamy oak with spice (clove) and citrus.

Aftertaste:

Long salty, seaweed with wisps of smoke and dry oak. Complex and mild mannered – one to treasure.
