Review and Tasting

Sampled on 13/03/2019

Appearance:

(sample bottle lot/batch No.005) Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Earl Grey black tea leaves and piney juniper with faint orange blossom, lemongrass and coriander.

Taste:

Dry with lightly bitter tea tannins and assertive spice. Piney juniper, Earl Grey tea and cinnamon/peppery spice dominate. Faint citrusy notes.

Aftertaste:

Long dry and spicy Earl Grey black tea finish.

Overall:

Earl Grey black tea infused gin equals breakfast gin. Madison Park delivers exactly what the label promises but we feel the tea infusion is perhaps a tad overly long so imparting too much tea tannins and masking more subtle underlying notes, including the bergamot.
