Review and Tasting

Sampled on 13/04/2019

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden.

Aroma:

Vanilla-cream-of soda, herbal aromas (rosemary), white grape juice and cut grass.

Taste:

Bittersweet. Rich honeyed white wine, bitter wormwood and herbal notes, crisp acidity, and faint orange marmalade.

Aftertaste:

Bittersweet finish with light acidity, herbal notes and bitter wormwood.

Overall:

Very fruity and a tad rich but with balancing bitter herbal wormwood and acidity. The attractive screen-printed bottle and flip-top re-sealable closure scream that this is a vermouth to enjoy rather than take to seriously. Try over ice with a splash of soda or tonic.
