A Norwegian aquavit aged in 250 and 50 litre oloroso sherry seasoned casks stored in former NATO bunkers close to the arctic sea.
Review and Tasting

Appearance:
(supplied tasting sample rather than production bottle) Clear, pale golden amber.
Aroma:
Hairspray, toasty oak, caraway, star anise and liquorice.
Taste:
Elegant buttery oak with well-integrated complex warm spice and light but enlivening black pepper.
Aftertaste:
Long finish with more toasty oak.
Overall:
The nature of the oak in this aquavit suggest that the aging period is fairly short but the wood’s toasty vanilla and buttery notes sits well with and mellow the spicy botanicals.
