Tia Maria Matcha is made with matcha tea extract which imparts natural caffeine and aromatic floral notes.
When growing Matcha, tea growers cover their fields with large dark nets for two to four weeks before harvesting the tea leaves. This light deprivation (up to 90%) causes the plants to produce more chlorophyll and amino acids, so giving the final product its unique flavour and sweetness. The matcha leaves are then ground in artisanal granite stone mills in order to preserve the colour, flavour and aroma of the matcha.
Tia Maria, long famous for its coffee liqueur, created Matcha Cream, and with it a new liqueur category, in 2021.

Delicate matcha with faint vanilla nuttiness.
Surprisingly dry, creamy matcha.
Lingering matcha with delicate spirituous bite.
You may previously have associated Tia Maria with coffee but this creamy line extension is all about matcha tea and it delivers this in a balanced (not overly sweet) liqueur.
