There's a variation with bourbon instead of gin called Baby's first bourbon. I hate the name lol, though it makes sense because I do hate whiskey and old fashioneds but love whiskey sours, and it's essentially a whiskey sour with orgeat instead of simple syrup.
Used only 1.5 oz of tequila because 2 oz sounds like it would make it way too strong, and it ended up being a decent 8/10. I was using a $27 bottle of Jose Cuervo tradicional, maybe it I had like a fancy $55 bottle it would work.

I think the creme de menthe I used was way too strong (Dr. McGillicuddy's by Sazerac), friends complained it tasted like mouthwash.
It tastes like a green bell pepper or jalapeno pepper without the spiciness. I guess it makes sense because it's made out of sugarcane which is green, and sugarcane without the sugar would probably taste like a vegetable.
What would be a close substitute for this Amaro? I live in the literal and figuative desert of Utah, it is very difficult to find unique liquers and amaros here!
Maybe mix Meletti with some Suze but if you can't find Ramazotti I don't think you'll find either of those.

It's definitely sugar, doesn't taste like sorbitol or artificial sweetener
