Plantation Overproof Old Fashioned Traditional Rum (O.F.T.D.) is an interpretation of a classic overproof Navy rum.

A blend of molasses-based rums from three countries: West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica, and Demerara Distillers in Guyana.

Each distillery has its own unique production process:
Barbados: 72 hours fermentation with twin column and pot still distillation
Jamaica: 2 weeks fermentation and pot still (John Dore) distillation.
Guyana: 1 week fermentation and pot still (Port Mourant) distillation.

Volatile compounds: 200 g/hL AA
Dosage: 0 gram per litre
Cane sugar caramel: 0% to 0.1%

Launched in July 2016 and originally named Plantation Overproof O.F.T.D. Rum.

Appearance:

Clear, mahogany amber with red tints.

Aroma:

Pungent, burnt currants and caramelised brown sugar with zesty orange, vanilla, coffee, chocolate and overripe banana. A splash of water opens this rum up with vanilla, grilled pineapple and Christmassy spice.

Taste:

Spicy and fruity with notes of plum, currant, molasses, vanilla, dry oak and charcoal with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and black pepper spice. Faint smoky notes. Water tames spice exposing more burnt notes.

Aftertaste:

Clove, cinnamon, black pepper spice and burnt currant.

Overall:

Powerful, characterful, fruity and spicy with burnt currants, molasses, scorched dry oak, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and black pepper spice.
