This rhum vieux agricole is column distilled and aged in American oak barrels with two degrees of toasting - intense and extreme. Named "Terroir Volcanique" due to the character imparted from the environment of Mount Pelee.

Appearance:

Clear, deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla, new leather, honey, toasty oak, prunes and blackened fruit cake with faint floral aromas.

Taste:

Grassy agricole notes sit with tropical fruit - particularly passion fruit, rounded with vanilla and toasty oak, and enlivened with nutmeg and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

More leathery woody notes with lingering nutmeg and cinnamon spice.

Overall:

Tropical fruit, grassy agricole and elegant spicy oak.
