No mere bottled cocktail, this is a ready-to-pour cocktail "curiously crafted" by Hendrick's Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie in collaboration with five of the world's leading bars.

Batch & Bottle Hendrick's Gin Martini is part of William Grant & Sons range of pre-batched bottled cocktails crafted by the Master Distillers of their respective brands. In the case of Hendrick's Hendrick's Gin Martini, Ms. Lesley Gracie enlisted the help of five of the world's leading bars:

• Maybe Sammy (Australia)


• Nauticus (Scotland)


• Nutmeg & Clove (Singapore)


• Yaldy (Germany)

1. Place a bottle of Batch & Bottle Hendrick's Gin Martini in your freezer for at least 30 minutes.


2. Pour into a suitably luxurious chilled glass.


3. Garnish with an olive, lemon zest twist, a slither of cucumber (as recommended by Ms. Gracie).

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden amber.

Aroma:

There's little aroma when ice cold but allow to warm and there are tantalising chocolate, tobacco leaf, and lemon zest, alongside signature floral rose.

Taste:

Rose and cucumber are present, as you'd expect from Hendrick's, but are far from predominant. Juniper shines while dry woody wormwood adds depth and dries this bone "Dry Martini".

Aftertaste:

Dry, herbal, delicately spiced.

Overall:

More flavoursome and expressive than a standard Dry Martini with more assertive wormwood, sutble herbal and spice with pleasing underlying rose.
