Ver, Latin for springtime, is an American liqueur made to "a treasured and closely guarded Italian family recipe" with herbs, seeds, flowers, spices, bark and mint infused in neutral cane spirit.

Ver has a naturally green colour from the chlorophyll of the botanical infusion.

Appearance:

Slight haze, light fern green.

Aroma:

Herbal and grassy with angelica, pine, peppermint and fennel.

Taste:

Herbal, vegetal and complex with spice and bright notes of mint, pine, citrus and aniseed.

Aftertaste:

Long, herbal and fresh with lingering grassy pine and peppermint.

Overall:

Touted as a Green Chartreuse alternative, Ver is in the same flavour profile ballpark but without the athletic poise and complex balance. That said, if Green Chartreuse is unavailable then with added sugar syrup, Ver is a viable alternative.
