Review and Tasting

Sampled on 23/05/2024

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Pine forest, ripe peach and caramelised agave with white pepper.

Taste:

Piney, earthy and delicately smoky. As the initial high in acidity and peppery spice subsides, subtle flinty mineral notes emerge with white peach and grapefruit.

Aftertaste:

Smoky minerally with more pine and enlivening peppery spice.

Overall:

More earthy and piney than it is smoky, with its lower alc./vol., Vida Puebla is a less challenging entry mezcal that's well suited to cocktails.
