Review and Tasting
Sampled on 05/09/2011
Appearance:
Clear, pale straw golden.
Aroma:
A burst of vanilla and toffee leaps from the nose - a nose perhaps reminiscent of a vanilla-flavoured currant bun than a twenty-year-old whisky.
Taste:
Ith water, slightly sweet with pronounced vanilla, orange fudge and toffee flavours. Creamy mouthfeel with grainy spirit notes and delicate oak tannins providing backbone.
Aftertaste:
Lingering fudge and vanilla with citrus and almond flavours. Worth presenting to non-whisky drinkers as a dry vanilla and fudge spirit.
