Based on Sipsmith's barley vodka and flavoured with English damsons, this limited edition Damson Vodka was apparently designed to appeal to people who like the idea of fruit gins but are not gin fans.

Appearance:

(2014 vintage) Clear, light burgundy red.

Aroma:

Berry and stoned fruit with faint almond and marzipan.

Taste:

Jammy but far from sweet and cloying with just enough sweetness to balance fruit tannins and acidity.

Aftertaste:

Fruity finish with warming peppery spirit and cleansing tannins.

Overall:

Jammy berry and faint almond and marzipan with just enough sweetness to balance tart fruit tannins and acidity.
