Appearance:
(sample bottle best before Feb/16) Hazy (its unfiltered), deep brown with thin quickly diminishing head.
Aroma:
Yeasty bready malt with light grassy hops and sultana and currant fruitiness. Somewhat reminiscent of fruity brown scones.
Taste:
Brown bready maltiness and metallic notes and mildly bitter grassy hops.
Aftertaste:
Malty and faintly metallic with burnt currant notes.
Overall:
This Italian version of a Scotch ale is bready and yeasty with grassy hop bitterness.
