A specially matured version of Yellow Chartreuse, aged for at least eight years in oak vats. The initials ‘V.E.P.’ stand for ‘Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé’, meaning, ‘exceptionally long ageing’. The individually numbered, wax-sealed bottles used are identical to those used in 1840.

Appearance:

(J.1818) Clear, pale greeny-yellow.

Aroma:

Herbal forest floor nose sprinkled with black peppery alcohol. Génépi, basil, lemon thyme and mint with pinecone woody aromas.

Taste:

The wonderfully complex honeyed-silky palate has minty freshness, rooty notes and is mellow yet with grippy alcohol bite.

Aftertaste:

Herbal honey finish with minty freshness.
