Review and Tasting

Sampled on 05/06/2014

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Pungent, buttery pastry, spice, light peat smoke and dried woody grass with cooked pear, dried fruit and ground cumin dusted leather aromas. More spice and buttery pastry with water.

Taste:

Peat smoke wafts around the dry woody spicy palate. Fruit notes are masked by the wood and spice. A splash of water re-balances exposing pear and banana fruit and vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Dry, lightly smoky woody yet fruity with wonderfully elegant spice.
