One of less than a handful of official bottlings from the North Port Distillery (the others being part of the Rare Malt series) which closed in 1983 making this malt a collector's item. Though to be the first official bottling, 2,040 bottles were released.

Appearance:

(bottle No. 00682) Clear, pale-mid golden.

Aroma:

Honeyed tarte tatin, apple pie, roasted hazelnut and honeysuckle with cinnamon, clove spice and subtle smoke.

Taste:

Sugared almonds, old leather, roasted coconut, clove, pear drops, honey and delicate smoke with linseed oiliness.

Aftertaste:

Long, mandarin zest and leathery tobacco with lingering tobacco, cinnamon and clove.
