Scallywag is a blend of Speyside malts including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes with a proportion of these malts aged in Spanish oak sherry-seasoned butts. It is blended and bottled by Douglas Laing without chill-filtration.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla fudge, Christmas pudding, caramel and heather honey with elegant spice. Water amplifies Christmas pudding with orange zest.

Taste:

Dried and stewed fruit, Christmas pudding and dark chocolate with caraway seeds, nutmeg and cinnamon spice. Takes water well with toasted almond emerging.

Aftertaste:

Fruitcake, stewed fruit and candied orange zest.
