Matured for 15 years exclusively in refill port wine seasoned casks this Fire Edition was released (28,000 bottles globally) in November 2016 and follows Higland Park Ice to complete the two-part series of special edition bottlings celebrate the myths and legends emerging from the Viking age.

The crimson red coloured bottle represents the fierce and molten world of the Fire Giants from Viking mythology. This is presented in a black wooden cradle with accompanying black wooden stopper.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Cinnamon spice, dark chocolate mousse, vanilla fudge and bark/toasted wood with faint smoke and Morello cherry. with water: toasted, slightly smoky nuttiness.

Taste:

Full-bodied. Chocolate, vanilla fudge, cinnamon, toasted wood and black pepper spice with zesty citrus and light smoke. More toasted wood with water but lightened by notes of popcorn.

Aftertaste:

Zesty citrus, vanilla fudge and lingering spicy oak.

Overall:

Dry, spicy and lightly smoky - a tad overly woody.
