The Flensburger Brewery was established in 1888 but proudy brews its beers according to the much earlier German Purity Law of 1516. This very traditional brewery never converted to crown caps and its old fashioned swing-top china closures are now a marketing device leading the brewery to actually trademark the ‘plop’ sound made when they are opened.
