Launched in the 1980s, this is a blend of Caribbean rum, flavourings and spices. Loosely termed a ‘spiced rum’ many, Morgan’s Spiced is only 35%alc./vol. and so below the strength required by the EEC to be termed a rum.
A Silver Spiced version and another under the brand name Captain Morgan are also available in some markets.
