Küppers was originally brewed near Düsseldorf, but the family which owns the beer opened a brewery in Cologne in the 1960's and moved Kölsch production to the new facility. Brewed with both hops and hop extract.

Appearance:

Clear, light golden with moderate head which quickly faded to thin foam.

Aroma:

Biscuity malty nose with honey, caramel, vanilla, faint citrus and peppery hop aromas.

Taste:

Crisp, dry palate with good maltyness and pronounced grapefruit hop bitterness and faint balancing sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Long malty finish with lingering zesty hop bitterness.
