This Norwegian vodka is distilled using a six-column process from potatoes grown in Trondelag, then filtered first through charcoal and second using an air filtration process. It is named after King Christian IV of Norway (reigned 1588-1648) - it's not clear if he was a vodka fan.

Appearance:

Crystal clear

Aroma:

Subdued, very clean nose emitting the merest of whiffs of school dinner hall.

Taste:

Light, almost creamy palate features mild black pepper spice with faint but discernible buttery potato.

Aftertaste:

Long, clean, cracked black pepper finish with faint steamed asparagus.
