Launched in July 1996, this is the flagship ale of the Stone Brewing Company who say this is their "Southern California interpretation of the classic British pale ale style." Stone Pale Ale is brewed with Columbus and Ahtanum hop varieties.

Appearance:

Cloudy, deep amber with a medium head with good retention and moderate lacing.

Aroma:

Caramel, floral hops and pink grapefruit zest with a whiff of red apple skin.

Taste:

Invigorating, moderately bitter malty palate with zesty grapefruit and orange, crispy green apple and floral flavours.

Aftertaste:

Malty, resiny pine and citrus zest finish.
