Launched in 1966, Jupiler is now the best-selling beer brand in Belgium. It takes its name from the town of Jupille where it is brewed from malt, corn, water, hops and yeast.
Sampled on 10/04/2012
Clear, bright banana yellow with short lived medium white head leaving heavy lacing.
A whiff of bubble gum, faint banana, light corn, light hops and faint metallic notes.
Scrawny Euro lager but this is more drinkable and clean than most, being saved by just enough hop interest.
Short, faint grilled corn finish with the merest lingering bitterness.
