The Belgian strong ale is distinctive due to its paper-wrapped bottle. It is also one of the few beers produced by De Proef which the brewery owns. De Proef more usually brews for third-party brand owners who do not have their own brewing capacity.

Appearance:

Hazy, rusty orange amber with medium off-white head leaving moderate lacing.

Aroma:

Pungent, floral yeasty bread nose with caramel.

Taste:

Slightly sweet honey and caramel malty palate with yeast and sultana fruit.

Aftertaste:

Bready malty finish with chamois leather, faint banana and lingering peppery spice.
