Appearance:

Cloudy, dark mahogany brown with thick head which settles to creamy layer of tan foam with moderate lacing.

Aroma:

Wet papier-mâché, liquorice, cinnamon and star-anise nose with overripe banana and custard powder.

Taste:

Very brown-sugary and maple syrup sweet with a strangely powdery mouth feel. Dried fig-like fruitiness and light cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Cinnamon and mocha coffee finish with lingering faint aniseed.
