The name translates as ‘Schlenkerla Oak Smoke’, Schlenkerla being the name of this traditional Bavarian brewer. The malt for this Christmas double bock is kilned by an oak wood fire - unlike other Schlenkerla beers which are smoked with beech wood. (Original gravity: 18,9% - bitterness: 40).
