Twisted Spire is a blond ale named after the twisted spire of St Mary the Virgin Church in the market town of Cleobury Mortimer, the Hobsons brewery’s home town. Launched in 2009.
Sampled on 24/07/2012
(06-June- 13) Clear, pale golden with one finger thick white head leaving spotted lacing.
Clean and restrained with honey, delicate floral aromas and a whiff of English summer garden with a freshly mowed lawn.
Crisp and dry with zesty grapefruit and cleansing pine-ey hop bitterness.
Grapefruit zest and metallic pine-ey hop bitterness. A sessionable cleansing and refreshing blond ale. Just a shame the brewer has risked a clear bottle.
