Named after the long since departed Greenore Distillery, this is one of a kind, namely an 'Irish single grain whisky'. Apparently, Cooley source the corn from which this whisky is made in France. It is aged a minimum of eight years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels.
Sampled on 06/08/2012
Clear, Pale golden.
Honey, golden syrup and corn oil with French baguette, green apple skin, and overripe tropical fruit/white peach. Pinch of cinnamon spice.
Sweet vanilla and caramel with buttery oak, white fruit and a pinch of spice – nutmeg and cinnamon.
