Named after the long since departed Greenore Distillery, this is one of a kind, namely an 'Irish single grain whisky'. Apparently, Cooley source the corn from which this whisky is made in France. It is aged a minimum of eight years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, Pale golden.

Aroma:

Honey, golden syrup and corn oil with French baguette, green apple skin, and overripe tropical fruit/white peach. Pinch of cinnamon spice.

Sweet vanilla and caramel with buttery oak, white fruit and a pinch of spice – nutmeg and cinnamon.

Aftertaste:

Honeyed sweet corn oil with cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of ginger and black pepper. Sweet and easy - the training bra of whiskies.
