One of Brewdog's one-off limited edition beers under their Abstrakt brand, this one being a triple dry hopped Imperial black IPA. According to the brands website this release consisted of 5,500 bottles produced in May 2011 but interestingly our sample purported to be bottle 6,002 of 8,973.
Sampled on 17/08/2012
(Bottled 16-May-11 No. 6,002) Ebony coloured with a small beige head which quickly diminishes to mere ring of foam.
Caramel, liquorice and heavily roasted coffee beans with a faint whiff of pine and eucalyptus.
Eucalyptus and liquorice influences the tar and charcoal flavours of the heavily roasted malt.
Bitter charcoal, tar and sweet liquorice finish.
