Launched in 1986, Judas is a strong blond pale ale produced by one of the larger Belgian breweries, Brouwerij Alken-Maes now owned by Heineken. It is brewed using Bohemian hops and after bottling is fermented a second time and left to mature in the cellar for an extended period.

Appearance:

(best before 10-Jan-13) Slightly hazy, pale orange golden with two finger white head depositing heavy lacing.

Aroma:

Yeasty brown sugar with faint coriander and overripe pineapple.

Taste:

Slight sweetness smooths the alcohol attach on the bready malty palate, with light honeyed spice and tart fruit.

Aftertaste:

Bready malt with lingering light spice. Reminiscent of Duvel.
