Appearance:

(best before 6-Apr-13) Clear, dark mahogany with quickly dissipating beige head.

Aroma:

Subdued burnt toffee, stewed fruit and treacle.

Taste:

Toasty/burnt malt, caramel/toffee with stewed fruit, Christmas cake and hints of bitter coffee beans.

Aftertaste:

Lingering burnt/toasty notes with faint liquorice. Burnt malt rather than hop bitterness.
