This seasonal summer brew is an Indian pale ale brewed with Pale and Cara barley malts, Sladek, Columbus and Cascade hops (late hop), and bergamot fruit. It shares its name with a previous beer made by De Molen, now retired. This latest version was released in 2012. 15.6 plato 46 EBU

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 29/09/2012

Appearance:

(bottled 14-Jun-12) Cloudy, dark coppery amber with medium off-white head and spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Orange and pink grapefruit zest, pine and spruce hops.

Taste:

Creamy mouth feel. Grassy tart grapefruit and orange zest, caramel malt and resinous hops.

Aftertaste:

Long floral hoppy finish with lingering soapiness and cork-like mustyness.
